May, 2019

Dear Holy Name of Mary Friends and Families,

He is Risen! He is Risen Indeed, Alleluia! I hope all of the Holy Name of Mary families enjoyed a blessed Easter and a fun filled Easter break.

April was a busy month at Holy Name of Mary. Students that won their division at our STEM/Science fair participated in the Diocesan STEM Fair. Several of our students joined students from other Catholic Schools at Kellenberg Memorial for the annual Math Tournament. The annual oratorical contest was held on April 9 for students in grades 5 – 7. Each student who participated did an excellent job of reciting a historical speech. When we came back from Easter break, students in grades K – 4 participated in the annual Poetry Recital.  Our students presented well at each of these events and we are very proud of them.

During Holy Week the sixth grade students celebrated the Passover Meal (Seder) as a class, the fifth grade students led the school in praying the Stations of the Cross and we celebrated Mass together. The students also donated money to the missions. We were ready to celebrate Easter!

We are moving quickly through the school year.  Much has been accomplished, yet we have so much more to do.  We are looking forward to all of our May events.
