Dear Parents,

I hope everyone had a beautiful and blessed weekend! We had a great week and accomplished so many good deeds in class. Our school year continues to be amazing as we prepare for Easter. We are learning so much everyday. I am sure it will continue to be a beautiful and productive school year. I am so happy to continue this beautiful journey with your children. We are exploring and learning so many new things each day. I am very blessed to have your children in my class.

This week we will continue to reinforce and practice our classroom routines and rules together. Each child has come a long way and I am extremely proud! Children will continue to practice the importance of the sign of the cross and pray together. During Lent we are preparing for Easter by reading stories about Jesus and practice being his followers daily. We will continue to practice our spring songs, Easter songs, new nursery rhymes, and continue to learn more songs from our religion program this week. We will continue to discuss the spring season. We will also learn about and discuss Earth Day. The children will work on their Lent, Easter, and spring activities and crafts this week. We will continue to learn about different types of flowers in class. We will continue to discuss Lent in class and focus on prayer and good deeds as a school family. Our focus will be praying more and doing as many good deeds as we can for one another during this season of Lent.

We will continue talking about God and focusing on how unique and special we are to God and one another. Children will develop a greater awareness of and appreciation for God's gift of nature and celebrate Easter as a time for new life in spring. The children will respond to God's gift of nature with a sense of wonder, respect, and gratitude through a story, discussion, and various activities. The children will celebrate and thank God for new life in nature through Scripture, music, and prayer. We will also work more on our numbers, cutting activities, and do more counting activities during our centers time.
