A Peek at the Week

Week:  March 20- 24, 2017
Welcome Spring!!
Its hard to believe today is the first day of spring.  Let's hope the weather starts to cooperate!
As you know, this is a quick week.  We have an 11:30 dismissal on Thursday and school is closed on Friday for a professional day for the faculty.
We are finishing up unit three in our readers with the story:  Where are my Friends.  We will be reviewing contractions, consonant patterns -dge, and words with -er and -est endings.  The leveled readers were assigned.  Please have your child go on line to read them.
Just a reminder, we are collecting bags of jelly beans for the parish outreach.  It is greatly appreciated if you can send in a bag.
I'm looking forward to seeing those Lenten Crosses.  It is my hope that they are filling up with beautiful colors.  Keep encouraging your little one to do good deeds during Lent.
Please try to encourage your child to practice tying his/her shoes.  The only way to learn is practice, practice, practice.
