HNOM welcomes the NY Islanders

November, 2015

Dear Holy Name of Mary Families,

We have BIG NEWS. Holy Name of Mary has been selected to participate in ISLANDERS SCHOOL DAY. On Wednesday, November 18, two players from the New York Islanders will visit HNOM and talk to our elementary and middle school students about the importance of getting an education and teamwork. We are very excited to have been chosen. #ISLES

The assembly will take place from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Hockey players Cal Clutterbuck and Thomas Greiss will be our guest speakers!  The players will show a short video, speak, answer some questions and then sign autographs for students in grades 4 – 8.  The students in grades 4 – 8 were selected, by the school, to receive the autographs based on the number of autographs, and the participation of those grades in the “Hockey Fights Cancer” Campaign. The players will provide the cards for autographs.  If students have Islanders items that they would like signed, the players will sign them.

Students are asked to dress in full uniform with blue and orange accessories.  If a student has an Islanders shirt or Jersey, the shirt or Jersey may be worn over the uniform. No N.U.T. cards are to be used.

Let’s Go Islanders!

YES! YES! YES!
