The 8th grade homeroom class participated in Scholastic Book Clubs & Pajama Program's 11th Annual
"The Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive." Scholastic matches every pajama donation received with a brand-new book donation so that families in need have the supplies they need to establish consistent, literacy-enriched bedtime routines!
To tie the pajama drive into their English Language Arts curriculum through 8L5a, students were encouraged to find and donate a pajama set with a pun on them! For many students, that was "no prob-llama"!
The pun-filled sleepwear donations by Kaelle, Ethan, Makayla, and Jayden piqued the interest of 6th and 7th graders. The cute expressions received tons of laughs!
Mrs. Sanders supported the 8th grade's participation in the drive by donating a set of striped pajamas that played on similar-sounding words: "UP TO SNOW GOOD." Ms. Brown's contribution featured the pun, "NOT SNOW SLEEPY," and included dinosaurs skiing down snowy mountains.
Although their donations were missing puns, Aiden and Jaylaan still shined with their sports and Minnie Mouse pajamas! Overall, nine pajama sets will be donated on behalf of HNOM's 8th grade class!
