In HNOM's annual Candle Lighting Ceremony, 8th graders lined the altar at the end of their Graduation Mass to pass "the Light of Christ" to the Class of 2023. With two candles in each graduate's hand, the 8th graders and their flickering candles also symbolized the transition of leadership in the school building.
