Cheerleading (Grades 6-8)
For Grades 6-8, the cheerleading team offers middle schoolers authentic opportunities to develop teamwork and leadership skills while promoting good sportsmanship and school pride.
Led by Coach Daphne, the cheerleaders perform organized dance routines - which involve tumbling, motions, jump sequences, and cheers - to support HNOM athletics and to rally up school spirit at events. In addition to motivating HNOM's basketball team throughout its fall/winter season, the cheerleading team unifies and entertains the school community with choreography at annual special occasions (i.e. the PTL's Breakfast with Santa and the 8th Grade v. Faculty volleyball game that launches Catholic Schools Week).With rigorous training sessions and weekly practices, the cheer squad requires both dedication and enthusiasm for the dynamic sport. -
