Kindergarten (5 Year Old)
Our Kindergarten students participate in numerous activities that build self-esteem and promote learning. Our students begin each day with prayer and our Catholic faith is the cornerstone on which the kindergarten program is built. We have high academic expectations in a developmentally appropriate program.
A Typical Day:- The students participate in prayer every morning.
- Our program is center based where students learn math, reading, writing, science, and social studies in small groups, facilitated by the teacher and assisted by the classroom aide.

1st-5th Grade
All students in Grades 1st-5th are exposed to a diverse array of learning activities that support the Next Generation Standards and develop skills for literacy, math, science problem solving, critical thinking, and faith formation.
In addition to benefiting from the excellent academics that HNOM offers, which meet NY State and Diocese of Rockville Centre standards, our elementary students participate in numerous activities. From the elementary poetry recital to an annual science/STEM fair, our students learn to appreciate and utilize their gifts and talents. Students are also prepared for First Eucharist and Reconciliation.

We are different from the local public schools because we offer faith based education while raising the bar academically. The students are taught in an environment that promotes accountability, and high standards in a compassionate and Christ centered environment.

Kindergarten: Our kindergarten teachers are certified through NYS in Birth-Grade 2 or Birth-Grade 6
1st-5th Grade: Teachers are NYS certified and they are interviewed by myself and my Asst. Principal.

Food allergies are monitored by parent, teacher, nurse.
We work with Brown Bag It Gourmet Lunch Program- Parents can pre-order their child cold or hot lunch to be delivered directly to the school at their child’s lunch time

- Our students participate in NYS Math and ELA Assessments in Grades 4 and 6.
- Our students participate in NYS Science Assessments in Grades 4 (2022-2023 will move to grade 5) and 8
- Our students take the i-Ready Diagnostics in Kindergarten through Grade 8 (3 times a year.)

- We use data from i-Ready and classroom performance to differentiate instruction
- We use small group instruction through workshop models in ELA and Math.

Tuition
Annual tuition is $6,000 with a $400 mandatory fundraising fee.
