By guiding the elementary students through a balloon-based science lab, the 8th grade explored states of matter - specifically gas! - with 2nd grade. The middle school students served as role models in lab safety and conduct and student mentors. Mrs. Powell, the science and technology teacher, and Miss David, the 2nd grade teacher, organized the hands-on collaboration. The 8th grade helpers hypothesized, measured, and observed with the budding scientists!
