With some creativity and improvisation, 8th graders came together to honor and express their gratitude for HNOM School's principal, Mrs. Sanders, on this year's annual National Principal's Day. To create a handmade sign that subtly captured the new reality of "distance learning," students choose a section of a pun-filled letter to illustrate on a blank 8.5 x 11 sheet of computer paper. The 8th graders rose to the remote challenge and presented their collaborative creation to Mrs. Sanders live through a Google Meet for English class. The time and thought they put into their signs was extraordinary. With social distancing french fries, a tea-sipping koala, a blueberry scale to showcase the magnitude of missing school, and a shrugging donut, students brought Mrs. Sanders's letter to life in a highly unique and meaningful way. Thank you for EVERYTHING, Mrs. Sanders!
