Although the annual 8th Grade v. Teachers volleyball game was not part of this year's Catholic Schools Week kick-off pep rally as it was in previous years, the competition occurred on "Student Appreciation Day" after students enjoyed relay races during an Indoor Sports Day. Cheers and chants from the sidelines - which were filled with students from all other grades - motivated the 8th graders as they served, spiked, and smiled!

Thank you, Mrs. Powell, for practicing bumping and hitting the volleyball with the 8th grade during a chilly recess after students expressed concerns about inadequate practice time! 

Unfortunately, even with high-flying serves and sportsmanship, the 8th grade lost both rounds to the faculty!
