The nation's "Read Across America" Day is celebrated annually on the March 2nd birthday of children's book author, Dr. Seuss, or Theodor Seuss Geisel. Pre-K students in Mrs. Onorato's class created portraits of the beloved book character, Cat in the Hat! Complete with his iconic red-and-white striped hat and bow-tie, the paper collages also featured hand-drawn faces that showcased happy emotions!
Students in Mrs. Casazza's and Mrs. Intranuovo's Pre-K class also celebrated the 1904 birthday of Dr. Seuss. They created tall, striped hats to dress up like the Cat in the Hat! Below is a photo of the students wearing their paper headbands!
