A little bit about me...
Hello! My name is Joanne Fischer and I am thrilled to be working at Holy Name of Mary this year! 
A long, long time ago I graduated from the Catholic University of America with a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Fresh out of college I began teaching at Saint Raymonds School in East Rockaway.  I was there for almost 10 years working with all different age group.  After rasing my two daughters, I went back to teaching, this time, at Long Beach Catholic School.  During this period,  I also received my Masters degree from Stonybrook University in the feild of Special Education.  A few years ago, I was asked to come back to Saint Raymonds School to work in early childhood.  Sadly, I was a part of the closing of Saint Raymonds School last year.  However, when one door closes (literally), another opens! I am so excited to be working with the littest members of our school family here at Holy Name. I am looking forward to a great year.
