I received my teaching certification from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York. I received my Masters in Educational Technology from Iona College as well.
I have been teaching at Holy Name of Mary since 2012. Here at Holy Name, I am the Technology teacher and coordinator. I love working at HNM and being a part of the education, guidance, and nurturing of the students. Being able to combine my love for technology with teaching makes each year new and exciting! It is my goal that each child that leaves my classroom will be more knowledgeable, proficient, and better equipped to use technology in their learning experiences throughout their academic careers.
For the last three years, I have taken on many roles in the production of our school plays. I love being able to help the students bring their talents to the stage. Last year, I co-directed the play, Annie Jr. with Mrs. O’Connor and Miss Hahl. I also have been an advisor to our school newspaper.
Outside of school, I have been a leader in Girl Scouts for 12 years. I currently hold a position on the PTSA Board at Sewanhaka High School. Although, I sat on the PTA board at the elementary level for many years while my children were younger. I love to read in my spare time.
“Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together and motivating them, the teacher is the most important.” - BILL GATES
