                                Welcome to Pre-K!

I am so excited to meet everyone. I know that this will be a great school year!  

Wednesday, September 4 is the Parent Orientation. It begins at 7 pm.  This is where we will meet to discuss the upcoming school year and answer all your questions. Please note that this is for parents only.

Friday, September 6 is our Welcome Day. Parents and children come to the classroom to play and meet the teachers and the other students in the class. It is from 9:00- 10:30 am. You do not need to stay the whole time but you can. All children must have an adult who will stay with them the whole time. 

Monday, September 9 is the First Day of School. This will be a half day. Class is from 8:45-11:00 am. No snack is needed. Please bring your child promptly to the East Jamaica entrance. All children are asked to wear their name tags.

Tuesday, September 10 is the First Full Day of School. Class is from 8:45 am to 2:30 pm. Please provide snack and lunch for your child each full day from now on.

 *Please be prompt dropping off and picking up your child 
 8:45 am arrival                      2:30 pm dismissal 

*Early dismissal for pre k is always 11:00 am

* Folders are to be brought to school every day

 *Any money sent in must be in an envelope marked with your child's name and what the money is intended for and placed in your child's folder

 * Snack should be placed in a brown paper bag or ziploc bag labeled as snack with your child's name and packed separately from their lunch

 *Snack should be no more than two items as well as a drink

*Please be sure to send your child to school with the proper utensils to eat their snack and lunch 

 *No snack or lunch is needed on early dismissal days

 *All children must be able to use the bathroom on their own*

*All children should be able to change themselves if they have an accident*
 *Removing of soiled clothes has to be done by your child*

                 Pizza Day is on Friday. It is optional.
 The cost is $3.00 for one slice or $5.00 for two slices. Money will be collected monthly. No same day orders will be allowed. Please put the money in an envelope with the order form marked "pizza" with your child's name on it and put the envelope into their yellow folder. (check or exact change only No coins please) 

Pizza is not served on early dismissal days.

There is so much fun and learning waiting for your child to experience!

This will be a fun and exciting year as your child prepares for Kindergarten. We will be learning about letters, numbers, shapes, colors, seasons, holidays, animals, community helpers, fire safety, nutrition, life cycles of a butterfly and frog, insects, dinosaurs, do STEM activites and so much more!

We will be learning all about Jesus and being kind to each other and how to be a "bucket filler"
